The last video for the organization was almost seven years old and needed updating. The goal was a succinct video that explained what they did in a direct way.
I co-wrote the script with a co-worker over the course of a few days.
Once the script was approved we found a voice talent local to Columbia, South Carolina. I recorded her vocals and then was able to combine that with some purchased stock music to get a pacing to the final product.
With the audio in place, I could start animating around it. Some of the animations involving a lot of pieces (the stacking stadiums, the map with floating photos) took a very long time to render, but overall it came together well.
